If you completed at least 200 hours of eligible volunteer firefighting services or search & rescue volunteer services in the year. An eligible search rescue organization must be a member of:

the Search & Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada, the Civil Air Search & Rescue Association, or the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, or

its status as a search & rescue organization must be recognized by a provincial, municipal, or public authority, or

your search & rescue organization can tell you if it is eligible

Note: If you volunteered for both services you can combine your hours to meet the requirements & claim either the VFA or the SRVA.
