Dealing With The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)

How to Confirm It’s the CRA Calling You

With all the scams happening these days it’s difficult to know when the phone call you’re dealing with is really from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). When the CRA calls, a legitimate employee will identify themselves & provide you with their name, ID number & a call back number. If you are uncertain of them they will encourage you to call the CRA & confirm them. When should you be suspicious? Check out the red flags. If you are suspicious, do not provide any information until you confirm the caller is from the CRA…
